Instead of focussing on the gladiators, the game has plenty of side mechanics, that I would be OK with if they were polished and felt good, but they are not. There is extreme lack of any polish or balancing making those mechanics pure hinderance.
Looking at the good reviews, I would at least expect good core gameplay revolving around the gladiators that would justify the good reviews, but they are even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than the rest.

The reviews are either paid up or people have lost their minds.(most positive reviews are made by turks that complain about the game, but still give it positive rating?)



PROS:
+ You can pay for a prostitute
+ most achievements can be cheesed by simply starting new game and spending starting money on said achievement requirement

CONS
- the game is extreamly low quality
- gameplay and mechanics are extreamly low quality
- everything is extreme hustle, there is no fun
- pointless "Sickness" mechanic that kills your family
- completely unballanced economy
- absolutely horrible gladiator AI and animations
- saving game is bugged and will lose you items
- game was abandoned by devs the moment they released it
- stutter/lagging aka performance problems even on top end PC, like comon
