Monster Slayers is a decent deck-building roguelike in concept, but the gameplay itself becomes repetitive pretty quickly, and the progression doesn’t give me enough interesting choices to make each run feel different.

The upgrade system is especially disappointing. Each character only has 3 upgrades, while each companion has just 2, so there isn’t much room to develop or customize your builds.

Overall, the game has some good ideas, but compared to other deck-building roguelikes, it feels very basic and underdeveloped.
