Rogue Legacy is a pretty interesting game, but I ended up giving up at the third boss.

The biggest problem for me is the amount of grinding needed for upgrades. As you progress, the upgrade costs slowly skyrocket, so you need to spend more and more time farming gold just to keep up.

The fact that there’s no way to reset your upgrades and try a different build also feels like a pretty bad design choice.

After playing for a while, the experience starts to feel quite repetitive since you’re basically going through the same areas over and over again.

I also wasn’t a big fan of the traits. Some of them don’t clearly explain what their effects actually do, and some of the visual traits are more annoying than fun.

I can see why people like Rogue Legacy, but unfortunately I can’t recommend it.
