I first tried this game on gamepass and dropped it after about one run. I have played enough rogue likes and was getting tired of the genre. Now that I had it on steam I was ready to actually give it a solid try.

The game is great. Controls are good, most deaths felt like deserved by my mistakes. The wins did feel like rng. Sometimes my build would be so unstoppable I would beat the bosses with no sweat. Those victories felt too easy. I get that it’s a hard balance but once you get some solid perks it gets hard to lose.
