Judgement: Not Recommended

View review on Steam

This would be a pretty decent hotel renovation game if it weren’t for the absolutely terrible optimization, random crashes, and one too many bugs.

In my less than 10 hours of playtime, I had the game crash on me a good 5 or so times, mainly at the beginning. Luckily, it does seem to save your progress very often. But that is not the only bug you run into. I have had problems with items not being removed properly, walls not wanting to be painted for no reason, and quests not being fulfilled as they should, making it a very frustrating experience. There are plenty more bugs to be found as well, judging by the forums.

I played the game on Linux (Proton 9.0-4), so my performance was probably additionally affected by that, but the game was running at about 55FPS with an i9‑9900K and RTX 3090 on high settings, which is frankly ridiculous. You can think about blaming Linux here, but I have seen plenty of people complaining about the performance on Windows too, making me think it is mainly a game issue.

That aside, you actually have a decent choice of room layouts and quite a lot of options for furniture, decorations, and colors, even if the UI to pick between them is pretty damn bad.

If the developers fixed this, it would actually be pretty great, but considering it hasn’t been updated since 2023, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. In the current state, it is not worth picking it up.
