Some games take the player for an idiot. This one straight insults you in your face and spits on you afterwards. The hardest decision you have to make is when the game asks you "Are you sure you want to quit to menu?". It doesn't take your hand, it chains your whole arm and drags you directly into the solution.

"Secrets" are "hidden" behind glowing doors and levels are directly straightforward. Narrative is just there to keep the thread of the game.

So, why the thumbs up?

While I'd rather play a game that requires some effort from me, this game is good at what it pretends. Put your brain off and mash some buttons. At the highest difficulty fights are hard enough and satisfying and if you already played Bayonetta this is a good game.
