Judgement: Not Recommended

I'm a little conflicted, as I enjoyed my time with the game to some extent, but on balance I definitely have to give this a non-recommendation, because after two full playthroughs I wouldn't dream of touching it again.

The three biggest issues:
1) Almost all the systems in the game are extremely poorly explained, so your first run is wasted on trial and error experimentation just to identify how things actually work. I'm inclined to believe that this lack of clarity might partially be intentional, to try to hide the fact that...

2) There is virtually no depth whatsoever to the gameplay, and once you understand how things work you will spend most of your time just going through the motions and occasionally being frustrated by the RNG. In my entire second playthrough, it would be fair to say I didn't have a single interesting or meaningful decision to make. Which is made much worse because...

3) The pacing is absolutely terrible. The mid-to-late game felt like an interminable grind, with nothing to really hold your interest while you chug your way through.

All of which is a shame, really, because the core concept is fun, I quite like the presentation and vibe, and there aren't many games doing something similar - but this is really not a good effort.
