Paradise Lost is an extremely linear walking simulator with an eerie atmosphere and really nice visuals. The ambience of the underground bunkers is excellent, and it'll remind you a lot of the Metro games. There are no other NPCs in the entire game, so you're all alone walking in this mysterious setting, which keeps you thinking "what the hell happened here?".. The game answers that very question but not with a narrative but the letters and recordings left all over the place and it's up to you to piece it all together. It touches upon a few darker topics too and leaves the rest to your imagination which I found quite interesting.

Unfortunately, that is where all the praise stops. There is mild stuttering at times and every time you reload to a checkpoint, your character will get stuck and will not move unless you reload again a bunch of times. The voice acting is mediocre, sprinting is utterly broken so you can't run which makes exploration very tedious at times.

There is quite a bit of German lingo thrown around with no translations so you have no idea what it means in English. Documents found in-game that are in german can't be 'read' so you're left utterly clueless about what they say or mean. Only letters written in english can be 'read' for the clear text, so picking up any sort of other stuff is completely useless.

Also, how the ♥♥♥♥ did a 12-yo had the balls to enter a Nazi bunker all by himself is beyond me.. but meh.. the story isn't the strongpoint of this game so it hardly matters.

I won't recommend this to anyone at full price. The game is clearly abandoned by the devs so wait for a steep 80% or more discount before even considering buying it
