It's a great game. There's so many innovative ideas here. The open world has been done perfectly. The gameplay is fun, and the characters mostly great too. That's when not taking into consideration that this game is a remaster (or is it a remake?) of a game from 1999.

However, that doesn't mean the game is without any issues. The graphics sure show their age, even if they have been redone. The animations are stiff by today's standard. And the game is loaded with bugs. Most bugs might not break the game, though many might prevent you from completing some side missions or give you are hard time with the game. I would recommend using a guide which lists such bugs for this game.

If you are like me who missed the original, I would say go for it. I felt that game is better than most modern RPGs and open world games. This game has so much to offer and such nice little innovative ideas (though the way you save the game can be a little annoying, specially on a controller), that I don't think anyone should miss it. It's not the greatest game, but I loved it enough to look forward to it's sequel, that hopefully we will be getting soon.
