Relicta is a super linear puzzle game. It's simply going from Point A to B, from puzzle to puzzle, the corridors are just fillers. There's absolutely nothing to interact with outside of the puzzles and there are invisible walls everywhere to prevent you from exploring anywhere outside. Soon it becomes a chore rather than being fun. The earlier half of the game genuinely had good puzzles, it made me think and plan, almost made me feel clever but the other half just increases the number of hoops you have to go through just to get the cubes at the right place. For me, it went from 'This new area looks fun' to 'Let's get this over with and move on.'

I honestly can't continue playing Relicta anymore. I'm halfway through it but now I'm tired. It's not that the puzzles are hard, but it's a just complete slog to drag around cubes and it started to feel way more tedious than it needs to. I just couldn't see the point of playing the game anymore because I felt I was "working" to get the damn puzzles right. Once you reach the Tropical islands, you'll understand what I'm talking about.

The Story and Puzzles are totally disconnected, the sci-fi plot is interesting honestly but it doesn't work with puzzles: Oh a giant alien ate me? Oh I'm getting hallucinations and hearing voices? The AI has gone sentient? My daughter might be in danger? All you can do about it is solving damn puzzles that's it. See where I'm getting at?

The only reason I'm leaving a positive review is because it's an indie game and yes I did have fun even though for the short while it lasted. I even smiled from the inside when I saw that the protagonist is Indian. The voice acting is good, even though the speaker is non-native, there is no bad stereotypical Indian accent like Hollywood portrays. Though the quality of dialogue really degrades and no. of F bombs drop more & more and it felt really unnecessary. (I didn't care much but if it is something that bothers you)

Maybe I'll continue where I left someday, but for now, I almost feel like I am wasting my time behind it. If you like these type of problem solving puzzle games, the game provides huge amount of content for the price. The graphics are good as well thanks to unreal engine. Surely pick it in a sale if you are thinking about it!
