Personally I haven't read the story, but if you think you would enjoy it and like story based games I highly recommend this. Just don't fall into the trap I did and buy it just because you love story based games though. If you don't think you'd read the book, don't buy the game.

Pros:
- Very well voice acted
- Graphics are reasonably good
- Very much revolves around the story
- There are some choices you can make that affect the game in various ways

Cons:
- Mouth movement is bad, and not always synced to when the character is speaking
- After finishing the first book I went to start the next one another day and it couldn't find my progress. Thankfully I had a manual save so only had to replay about 20 minutes.
- The story itself is frequently tragic and at times frustrating (i.e. characters do something clearly stupid and you can't stop them). Personally I don't like those types of stories, which largely ruined the game for me.
