Despite being a really old game with somewhat clunky controls and old-school graphics, KOTOR still has a pretty epic story to tell and that alone makes this game worth snapping up.

The storyline in this game isn't at all linear too. Most of the decisions you make in this game matters and will tip you either towards the light or the dark side. Your decisions will also decide your alliances and hence, the type of people your team would be comprised of.

The combat system in this game seems to work "okay" as well. You can pause the battle, assign actions to your team before unpausing the game to get the shooting started. In fact, I'd say pausing is a very important aspect of the game's combat because sometimes, you may need to queue heals into your list of actions to perform to avoid getting your main character killed. Your main character's well-being is crucial mainly because if he/she dies, it's game over - permadeath - and you'll have to start the game from the very beginning...

... and this reminds me - Make sure to frequently save your game! This is especially true before exploring a new area, just in case you stumble upon some trap or an ambush, or something, or even before talking to any NPCs, just in case you made a snap decision that you immediately regret. Trust me, you'll want to save as much as you can!

And of course, as the game is a full-fledged RPG, KOTOR can guarantee hours upon hours of fun, and it has replay value too - you might want to try going over to the dark side for a change :P

Watch me play!
... on Twitch[www.twitch.tv] :) I probably won't be saving my streams so once the videos expire, they will be gone forever.

So, overall?
I'd say that hardcore fans of Star Wars or any sci-fi RPGs in general, and players who actually enjoy playing old-school games, would definitely want to give this game a try. It may not look anything like the more recent Star Wars RPGs, but it still has a really good, choose-your-own-adventure-style (somewhat) storyline that will put you on the exciting path to being a Jedi yourself :) In fact, now I'm super stoked to play the sequel... if I do manage to get my hands on it :P

Plus, these older games can usually be purchased at an insane discount so this game can be affordable even for cash-strapped players.

P/S: Just in case no one has mentioned this - Besides the annoying igfxem module notification which kept popping up, KOTOR works perfectly fine on Windows 10. You can disable the notification if you want so that's not exactly a huge issue.
