Bad storytelling and even worse voice acting. By far not the worst game, that I've played on Steam, but still the most disappointing.
Having just a few minutes to prevent a meltdown of your spaceship's reactor, isn't it enjoyable to listen to a lengthy explanation, why a meltdown really is a bad thing? C'mon, it's a 1995 game, but even them we have known such things. Being a lone survivor of a treachery, isn't it nice to find a diary of a deceased fellow loyal crew member, describing precisely, who was the traitor... something, that this crew member never bothered to tell anyone? Or maybe you will enjoy having to get some information from a computer system, and to do so being forced to ask about things, that you already know? But that's not the worst...
By far the worst is voice acting. Most of it done, like a second language English speaker explaining carefully complicated matters to a bunch of students with a limited grasp of English... overpronouncing, slowly, without any emotional involvement.
I've had quite high expectations about this game, reading some 1995 reviews of it, praising the storyline and graphics. Well, the story should survive the passing years, I though. Sadly, it didn't. Actually, it was never good, even though the plot has quite a lot of potential. I'm not that much into graphics, and I don't really remember, what I would expect in 1995, but I must assume, that they were then good enough, that they were able to cover the shortcomings of the storytelling at least for the most of players. Today they are certainly not able to do so.
The graphics are 90-tish - simple, but not really terrible. The music and sound effects are not remarkable, but they don't hurt ears. The puzzles are just OK. Main plot would be pretty interesting, if not presented in such illogical, overworded and overpronounced way, which really kills it for me. DOS-box works pretty good and does not crash/stutter. Takes 4-5+ hours to finish, no replay value. Not recommended, 3/10.
